This Shipping & Payment Policy explains how orders, deliveries, workshop bookings, commissions, and payments are handled at SLR Collective. It applies to all purchases made through our online shop, including millinery, jewellery, botanicals, workshops, ceremonies, and bespoke commissions.

1.1 Overview

SLR Collective ships handmade millinery, jewellery, and selected botanical items within the United Kingdom. Workshops, ceremonies, and commissions are booking‑based services and do not require physical shipping.

All items are created with care, and processing times may vary depending on whether the piece is ready‑made, made‑to‑order, or bespoke.

1.2 Processing Times

Ready‑to‑ship items: dispatched within 3–5 working days

Made‑to‑order items: typically 1–3 weeks

Bespoke commissions: timelines agreed individually during consultation

If your order contains multiple items, they may be shipped together or separately depending on availability and packaging requirements.

1.3 Shipping Methods & Delivery Times

We currently ship using:

Royal Mail Tracked

Royal Mail Special Delivery

Courier services for larger or delicate items

Delivery times vary depending on the service selected at checkout. Once dispatched, delivery times are outside our control.

1.4 Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on:

item weight

packaging

delivery method

destination

Some items may require additional protective packaging or insurance due to their delicate nature.

1.5 Local Collection (Optional)

Local delivery available in Cardiff only, on certain items.  

You will receive details by email if this option is selected.

1.6 Delays & Responsibility

We are not responsible for delays caused by:

postal or courier services

strikes

weather conditions

customs or transport issues

Once an item has been dispatched, responsibility for delivery lies with the carrier.

1.7 Damaged or Missing Parcels

If your parcel arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours with photographs of:

the packaging

the item

the damage

If your parcel is missing, please contact us so we can open an investigation with the carrier.

2.1 Accepted Payment Methods

We currently accept:

PayPal (including PayPal Guest Checkout)

PayPal allows you to pay securely using:

debit card

credit card

PayPal balance

You do not need a PayPal account to complete your purchase.

2.2 Payment Security

All payments are processed securely through PayPal’s encrypted system. SLR Collective does not:

store

or have access to

your card details at any time.

2.3 Workshop Payments

Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place. Workshop bookings are non‑refundable, but you may transfer your place to another person if you can no longer attend.

2.4 Commission Payments

Commissioned work may require:

a non‑refundable deposit

staged payments

full payment before delivery or collection

These details will be confirmed during your consultation.

2.5 Failed or Declined Payments

If a payment fails or is declined:

your order will not be processed

your workshop place will not be reserved

you will be notified to try again

2.6 Refunds

Refunds (where applicable) are issued via the original payment method. Please refer to our Returns & Refunds Policy for full details.
